The Provincial Court of Logroño has sentenced the man who poisoned the elderly man he was caring for with unblocking liquid to 22 years in prison in 2020 with the purpose of inheriting his property.
The president of the jury that unanimously declared guilty of murder due to treachery has handed down the sentence in which he is sentenced to 22 years in prison and ten more years of supervised release, according to the Superior Court of Justice of La Rioja.
The ruling also annuls the will of the deceased, 82 years old, in which he bequeathed his assets to A.V.M., 46 years old, who poisoned him on August 4, 2020.
