Las Vegas mother of 4-year-old finds her child in freezer

A Las Vegas woman who found her son dead in a freezer Tuesday said she suffered months of abuse from her boyfriend. He has been charged with the death.

After a woman instructed her daughter to send a note detailing her abuse to her teacher, a Las Vegas police officer arrested Brandon Lee Toseland (35). Also, the note stated that the woman was not allowed to see her son, aged 4, who she last saw in December before his body was discovered.

Stephen Stubbs, a lawyer representing her, told Fox News Digital that she was a victim to sexual abuse. He claimed she suffered months of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and was threatened by Toseland with the death of her son and 7-year old daughter.

Stubbs said that her daughter was always with her, and she never was bound or handcuffed. “She never had the opportunity to run with her daughter.”
According to the attorney, the children were also abused at home.

Stubbs stated that the mother had been physically, sexually, and emotionally abused. Stubbs said that the children were often separated from their mother and physically and emotionally abused.

According to an arrest report Toseland stated that he told the mother that the boy had died and said she wouldn’t be allowed to see him body as he would lose her freedom.” However, he didn’t previously share this information with law enforcement or call an ambulance.
According to the attorney, the woman had met Toseland through her husband, the father of her children who died in January 2021. She and her children moved in two months later with Toseland who, “slowly but methodically,” ruled the house.
