Since 2017, Vocational Training has experienced uninterrupted growth motivated by the high degree of employability of its qualifications. In Spain, this type of training already has more than one million students enrolled, and it is expected that this figure will continue to grow in the coming years.

Traditionally, vocational training was linked to face-to-face training, which limited many people from being able to train, especially workers or those with family responsibilities. However, the development of network technologies has allowed the educational system to evolve and adapt to the needs of students. Thanks to this, we can now find a wide variety of Intermediate and Higher Level FP cycles in online or blended mode.

Remote VET is an increasingly popular option for various reasons, notably the flexibility it offers to combine academic, personal and professional life. For this reason, in the 2022 – 2023 academic year, more than 140,000 students opted for this option.

In response to this growing demand, ILERNA, a benchmark Vocational Training center in Spain, has strengthened its position by expanding the offer of online FP cycles for the next school year. It has done so by introducing qualifications with a high degree of employability and future prospects, such as the CFGS in Network Computer Systems Administration, the CFGS for International Trade and the CFGS for Tourist Guide, Information and Assistance.

These three training cycles last 2,000 hours, which are usually spread over two school years. However, one of the advantages of the ILERNA Online methodology is that students can choose the number of subjects they can take each semester and study at their own pace.

One of the greatest attractions of Vocational Training is its learning system, mostly practical and focused on the training of technical profiles. Thanks to this, it facilitates the insertion of recent graduates and allows covering the needs of companies, which are currently facing a lack of qualified professionals.

In Spain there are more than 140,000 jobs to be filled, and professional education has the capacity to respond to this problem. For this reason, it is a very attractive option for the Spanish active population, whose concerns revolve around job security and stability.

According to the latest report from the Vocational Training Observatory, one out of every three job offers in Spain is for Medium or Higher Level Vocational Training graduates. In addition, according to the Study on the Labor Insertion of Vocational Education, the FP unemployment rate is three times lower than the youth unemployment rate in Spain. Specifically, 9% versus 29%.

Some of the degrees with the highest degree of employability are the CFGM for Administrative Management and Auxiliary Nursing Care and the CFGS for Administration and Finance, Web Application Development and Multiplatform Application Development. ILERNA teaches all these training cycles online, face-to-face and blended.
