PARMA, Ohio – Happy Paczki Day, AKA Fat Tuesday, AKA Mardi Gras, and Rudy’s Strudel is celebrating the last day before Lent with thousands of Polish treats.

Rudy’s opened at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday to start selling more than 75,000 of the donut-like pastries. They’re offering 21 sweet flavors and seven savory. There will be music, beer and other snacks throughout the day at Rudy’s.

Social media coordinators Maura Zurick and Annie Nickoloff will be on scene around 10 a.m. adding to our Snap story (username: clevelanddotcom), and posting pictures and videos to our Twitter account and Instagram account.

For those who don’t know what paczki are, they’re basically Polish donuts and can be stuffed with sweet or savory filling.
