The pyrotechnics Zarzoso, from the Valencian town of Altura, has “give a reed” this Monday in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento de Valencia with its show ‘Arte Sonoro’, a “classic” ‘mascletà’ of 135 kilos of gunpowder with a “spectacular” earthquake ” in four phases.

The head of the company, Paco Sancho, explained before the shot that they have designed a “classic mascletà” with a digital touch at the end, which begins with a Valencian firecracker and four aerial retentions of thunder, whistles and cicadas.

“Then a blow gives way to the body that has four land and air retentions quite loaded with material. Finally, a spectacular earthquake with four phases and 2,000 meters, culminating in a final double air and digital terrestrial bombardment,” he detailed.

After the shot, Javier Rovira, another of the managers of the company and fourth generation of pyrotechnicians from Zarzoso, has assured that they have managed to present a show with “very good taste” and “giving cane”. “The aerial has been beautiful and a ‘mascletà’ without a good closing is like… well, I’m not saying it, but we all know it”, he expressed.

Rovira, accompanied by his son, also Javier Rovira, has highlighted that “grandparents, children, grandchildren” have passed through the ‘Gunpowder Cathedral’ with the Valencian firm: “We have all passed and will continue to pass”, he assured, while that he has recognized that he hopes that his son does not continue with the family tradition: “I want him not, but I think so,” he joked.

“I do want to be, it would be the fifth generation and the sixth and seventh will continue to pass through here. He does not want it to be pyrotechnic, but I am there fighting against the current,” he said. Thus, asked for his opinion on the shot on Monday, he has given a “10 out of 10” to the shot. “My father always comes out, he is the best of all”, he has defended himself, although he has lamented that he “still does not let him” help him shoot.
