Club Metropolitan, the number one Fitness and Wellness chain in Spain, will open a new center in Nice (France), the company’s second in French territory. Specifically, it will be located in the Iconic building, considered the new architectural symbol of the city on the Côte d’Azur.
This was announced by the chain in a press release in which it underlines that, after the inauguration of the first club in Nice in 2019, it “continues to support the French city in its international expansion.” The new space will open its doors in the last quarter of the year and has had an investment of 3.5 million euros.
Following the company’s philosophy, it will be fully dedicated to well-being and health with specific areas of fitness, beauty, nutrition and restoration.
The new Metropolitan Iconic Club will have 2,500 square meters with the aim of providing its members with “a 360º wellness experience.” To achieve this, the facilities will be equipped with the latest technological innovations and trends in this area.
In this way, according to the company, club members will be able to access their training programs at any time and with any personal device. This commitment to innovation is aligned with the company’s objective of “maximum personalization” of its members’ experience, which should help “improve performance and effectiveness of the time spent exercising.”
In the new center in Nice, the chain will continue to have its usual facilities: coworking spaces, lockers and safes. Likewise, members will have towels, shower gel, cologne, among other things, at their disposal in their locker room.
This second Metropolitan Club in the French city will be part of a unique space, the result of the reorganization of the Gare Thiers-Est area, next to the Nice train station and which is pending inauguration. This is the Iconic building, a 18,300 square meter complex made up of shops, restaurants, hotels and leisure activities.
It will serve as a link between the North and South districts of the French city, creating a new centrality around Thiers station. The new Metropolitan Club will be installed on the 4th and 5th floors of this building, with an outdoor terrace, from which you can see the sea.
The future Metropolitan Iconic club will be the company’s 22nd, following the upcoming inauguration of the Metropolitan Plenilunio Club in Madrid in April. However, the company plans to open a couple more new clubs before the end of 2024. In total, the company plans to invest €23 million in these new facilities.
