The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a middle-aged man accused of biting a taxi driver on the hand after making a trip from Barcelona to Cambrils (Tarragona) and refusing to pay him the 225 euros for the trip.
According to police sources, the events occurred around 11:00 p.m. this Monday, when the man refused to pay the amount of the race and attacked the driver of the vehicle, although he was arrested shortly after.
The man asked the taxi driver to take him from the Catalan capital to Cambrils, although he later refused to pay the 225 euros for the trip.
In order to escape from the taxi without paying, he bit the taxi driver’s hand and caused a bleeding wound, although he was quickly detained by Catalan Police officers, against whom he bounced.
The arrested person will be placed at the disposal of the Reus guard court (Tarragona) in the next few hours.
