The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested the alleged perpetrator, only 22 years old, of the violent death of a man in April of last year. The investigation, which has been open throughout this time, concluded this past morning with the arrest of the subject.
The events occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Lleida, when a taxi driver was stabbed twenty times on Sifó street in the Bordeta neighborhood. The victim, who was on duty, received more than twenty stab wounds in the neck and back in the middle of the public road. As a result of the severity of the various injuries he suffered, the man died shortly after at the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in Lleida.
The investigation is directed by Court of Instruction number 4 of Lleida, which has decreed the secrecy of the proceedings and has ordered that the detainee be brought before a court in the coming days.
