Two hooded men took nearly 400,000 euros after attacking a lottery administration in Lugo this Thursday, an office where they broke into first thing in the morning and where they shot the owner at gunpoint.

The robbery occurred at 8:30 a.m., when the owner of Lottery Administration number 10, located on Lamas de Prado Street, was preparing to open the business, according to what the person in charge of the establishment told the media. In a matter of eight minutes, which took the security system to reset, they took the money and fled.

Covered in balaclavas, according to police sources, they entered the establishment and threatened the owner with a gun, telling him that if he collaborated they would not harm him in any way. The victim of the robbery did not suffer injuries, he was just locked in his office.

The loot with which the robbers managed to escape amounts to around 400,000 euros, according to the lottery’s calculations, who affirms that the assailants told him that they did not want to harm him, just take the money.

In addition to the money that corresponds to the collection of the last few weeks, those with the highest business volume of the year for the lottery administrations for the Christmas and El Niño draws, they also escaped with checks.
