An Italian boy of just four years old died this past Monday in a hospital in Brescia due to a brain hemorrhage. “Stroke is very rare among children,” doctors have assured the newspaper Il Corriere della Sera.
Little Evan Giroletti spent a quiet weekend playing with his family until he fell asleep. In the morning, his life went on the same as always. He got up, had breakfast and his went to school.
But in the middle of the morning, the teachers called the mother on the phone. Evan had severe headaches and was vomiting. They took the boy home, he slept a little and seemed to recover. By afternoon he seemed to be all over himself.
But, while he was playing, he fell down and could no longer stand up. Her family rushed him to Esine hospital. The doctors did a CT scan and saw that the situation was desperate, so they transferred him to the Civil Hospital of Brescia.
There was nothing to do. The little one died. This Thursday he was buried in a small white coffin in which his parents and his four siblings placed one of his favorite toys inside.
