The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested the driver of a car for allegedly ramming a group of young people at the exit of a nightclub in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) and then fleeing, which has gone to court this Friday.

They attribute the alleged crimes of attempted murder and reckless driving to him, they explained in a statement on Friday.

One of those run over suffered serious injuries, for which he was transferred to a hospital, and explained that he did not know the defendant.

The investigators concluded that the detainee is the same 22-year-old man who hit him on the head that same night, and has a record of “similar events” in Terrassa (Barcelona).

He allegedly intentionally rammed them around 7 am on April 9 and “at no time did he slow down or stop to help the victims.”
