This is the classic sweet that never fails, a recipe that you have surely tried and may have prepared at some time, but for which no one uses exact measurements, so it is also likely that the result was not what was expected: a dough that was too Compact, it doesn’t rise… Here you have all the quantities and detailed steps so that the next time you prepare it it will be perfect!
> 1 natural yogurt (125 g)
> 1 lemon
> 4 eggs
> 300 g of flour
> 200 g of sugar
> 125 ml extra virgin olive oil
> 1 sachet of yeast
> Butter
> Powdered sugar (optional)
1. Grate the lemon peel without reaching the white part, as it would give the dough a bitter flavor.
2. Beat the sugar and eggs in a bowl until white.
3. Next, add the natural yogurt, lemon zest and extra virgin olive oil to the mixture. Mix well.
4. Add the sifted flour and yeast. Mix everything again until you get a dough without lumps and that the ingredients are completely integrated.
5. Pour the dough into a mold previously greased with butter (you can also spread it with oil, if you prefer) and bake it for 40 minutes (depending on the size of the mold) in the oven preheated to 180 ºC (on only from the bottom). ).
6. Let cool on a rack outside the oven before unmolding. You can sprinkle the surface with a little icing sugar before serving.
