The first trimester of pregnancy is full of changes, some of which you may have already noticed in your body. But where there is a real explosion is in your baby’s. In week 9 of your pregnancy, her small body already measures about 2 centimeters and reaches the not inconsiderable weight of 3 grams! It may not look like much, but it’s nearly doubled in size from the week before, so your baby is pretty busy.

Don’t worry if you don’t notice movement or many symptoms. You are in a very early stage and it is very common not to feel anything until after the 20th week.

One of the main symptoms of pregnancy that we experience during these first weeks is the size of the breast. You may have noticed some swelling and even discomfort or even pain in the nipple area.

Look for bras in your size that are comfortable, made of pleasant, breathable materials like cotton, and that give you good support. If you haven’t considered it yet, think about non-wired bras. They are less pressing and are ideal during pregnancy and postpartum.

As for your emotional state, you are at a time when your hormones have been completely revolutionized. Oscillating between extremes, going from joy to sadness or getting excited very easily is common. Be patient and go through your emotions calmly. And above all, seek support and understanding from the people around you.

During week 9 of your pregnancy, your baby continues to form the features of his face. It may not be appreciated yet if you have an ultrasound, but there are already eyes, a mouth and even a tongue, with their small taste buds.

His hands and feet are already well differentiated, although the fingers have not yet separated from each other. They are tiny hints of what they will become in the coming weeks.

Inside, everything continues to develop at full speed. Internal organs such as the heart, lungs, brain or digestive system are being shaped week by week. There is a heartbeat and if you get an ultrasound, you will be able to hear it without problem.
