Three people have had to be transferred to the hospital and two others treated at the scene after inhaling a harmful substance in a local shopping center in Jaén, as reported this Sunday by the 112 Andalucía Emergency service.

The events occurred on Saturday night, around 9:10 p.m., when the first of several notices was received explaining that there were several people with itchy eyes and facial pain in a restaurant in a shopping center located in Paraje de The Lagunillas.

The coordinating center immediately activated the 061 Health Emergency Center, the Local Police, the National Police and its Unit Attached to the Autonomous Community, while informing the Labor Inspectorate and the Occupational Risk Prevention Center.

The health services have confirmed to 112 the transfer of three people -two women aged 41 and 45 and a 23-year-old man-, all with minor pathologies, to the Surgical Medical Hospital.

For its part, the National Police indicated that two other people were treated at the scene without the need to be evacuated.

The same sources have explained that the place where the events occurred has been closed, although no further information on this event has been disclosed.
