Last Wednesday, February 7, 100 members of the Club Vanguardia and their companions were able to enjoy the preview of Els Watson at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. Directed by Josep Maria Mestres, it is an adaptation of the British comedy by Laura Wade, which aims to recover the unfinished novel written, more than two centuries ago, by the famous British novelist Jane Austen.

The spectators accompanied Emma Watson and her sisters, the main characters of the novel, who captured their story on stage, managing to continue it right at the point where the author left it, thus giving it a brilliant, magnetic ending. A challenge that, without a doubt, both Laura Wade and the cast of performers of the Catalan adaptation have more than achieved.

This show, produced by the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, has professionals such as Paco Azorín, in charge of the set design, Gabriela Salaverri in costumes, Iñaki Salvador and Jon Maya in charge of the original music and choreography and Imma Capell in the characterization. In charge of the interpretation are great actors and actresses, such as Mercè Aránega, Hodei Arrastoa, Laura Aubert, Guillem Balart, Dafnis Balduz, Jordi Banacolocha, Lluïsa Castell, Abdi Cherbou, Jordi Coll and Laia Manzanares, among others.

Once the performance was over, the members enjoyed an aperitif in the hall, with parmesan sticks and vegetable chips, accompanied by water, soft drinks and Codorniu Ars Collecta cava. There they had the opportunity to share their impressions about the contemporary work of Laura Wade.
