When ordering a coffee in a cafeteria, the offer of different flavors, combinations and mixes continues to increase to surprise lovers of this energetic and delicious drink. Proof of this is the rise of latte art, which consists of creating striking drawings with the foam of coffee with milk. As well as the proliferation of specialty coffee shops.

But at home you can also enjoy specialty coffees, beyond limiting yourself to the versions of coffee with milk, black coffee, Cortado or Americano. For example, you can quickly and easily prepare a foamy coffee that will surprise you with its pleasant texture and, in addition, you can consume it cold now that the good weather arrives. And don’t think that you will need gadgets like a special coffee maker or a frother, for this you only need a plastic bottle.

Lorena and Toñi are known on social networks by the alias @lasrecetasdemimadre. On Instagram, they have more than a million followers, who don’t want to miss the recipes and useful cooking tricks they share.

They have recently surprised users with a quick and easy trick to prepare foamy coffee at home with the help of a plastic bottle. You will need a small bottle, which you must first rinse of its previous contents and let dry.

Put three tablespoons of coffee, three tablespoons of sugar and three fingers of water in the bottle. Then, close the bottle tightly and shake it vigorously for about three or four minutes, so that the contents are mixed well and the desired foam is formed.

Next, pour the frothy coffee into a glass or mug. You can taste it like this, or add ice and milk, depending on your tastes. In this way, it becomes the perfect coffee to cool you down on hot days.

If you prefer that only the milk has a foamy texture, instead of the coffee itself, you can also make milk foam in a simple way, without the need for gadgets such as whisks, whisks or electric frothers.

Take a clean glass jar with a lid and fill it halfway with milk. Close it tightly and shake it vigorously for about 30 seconds. Then, uncover the jar and place it in the microwave at maximum power for another 30 seconds. In this way, you will obtain a foam with consistency and texture to enhance the results of your coffees at home.

To add special touches to your coffee at home, whether it’s the foamy coffee mentioned above or a regular coffee with milk foam, you can add cinnamon powder on top of the foam, or add a splash of chocolate syrup to the glass before serve coffee.
