Today Tortell Poltrona and Montserrat Trias presented the 14th edition of the Circ Cric Festival, which is held in Montseny, specifically in Sant Esteve de Palautordera. “Here you won’t find seriousness, but you will find a lot of rigor,” announces the veteran clown, who put on his nose for the first time 50 years ago.

Trias says: “One more spring, one more edition. We still have residue from the pandemic, and we all have to see each other again. The most important thing is the human touch, the one-on-one.” And she has proudly shown the poster for this edition, the work of the artist Roser Capdevila.

On March 16, coinciding with the Cap butaca buida initiative, the festival will open with Fils i nassos, a proposal by Tortell Poltrona and Jordi Bertran, where puppets and clowns will exchange roles.

On Friday, March 29, the first Symposium.0 will be held, a meeting of fifteen clowns who will focus on the essence of the artist. With the announcement of “First international meeting of ignorant intellectual clowns”, in addition to Tortell Poltrona, names such as Andrés del Bosque, Andreu Buenafuente and Jérôme Bouvet will participate.

On Saturdays comes the family offering of El Pony Pisador with its show Pony menut, a journey through sound traditions from around the world.

The Mexican puppeteers from the Saltimbanqui Group will also pass through the Circ Cric, with their show Cuentos de México. And Sundays are completed with the Badacirc show, with a series of numbers presented by Tortell Poltrona.

On the last weekend of the festival, June 8 and 9, circus schools will present their end-of-year shows. These are the Center de les Arts of the Circ Rogelio Rivel, the Carampa Circus School of Madrid and the Collectif Bislacco, of the EsacTo’Lido school.

In addition, on Sundays there will be a fair, the traditional fair of shows and activities at the Circ Cric, a festival within the festival, with circus associations and schools and artists such as La Finestra Nou Circ, the Trocos Lucos company, La Córcoles, Traüt, La Petita Lu, Pep Callau and a concert by Lasta Sanco, among others.

To complete the activities, the festival offers the school days ‘A day at the circus’, with various proposals.
