Pedro Almódovar, the actresses Penélope Cruz, Carmen Machi, Marisa Paredes and Bárbara Lennie will be some of the Spanish film personalities who will present the statuettes at the 38th edition of the Goya Awards, which will be held this Saturday at the Valladolid fairgrounds.

They will also be at the gala presenting the famous ‘big heads’ Elena Anaya or Susi Sánchez, as well as the performers José Sacristán, Gael García Bernal or Eduard Fernández or directors such as Carla Simón.

Directors and screenwriters such as Isaki Lacuesta, Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, Borja Cobeaga, Javier Fesser, Pilar Palomero, Fran Araújo, Jonás Trueba and Jaione Camborda are others selected to give the awards.

In addition, other representatives of Spanish cinema such as Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Cecilia Roth, Inma Cuesta, Ernesto Alterio, Antonia San Juan, Nacho Vigalondo, Fernando Tejero, Toni Acosta, María León, Loles León, Nathalie Poza and Marta Etura will join the awards ceremony.

In that long list, we can also find Alba Flores, Bruna Cusí, Javier Botet, Greta Fernández, Ana Polvorosa, Nerea Barros, Miguel Ángel Muñoz, Marta Hazas and Ana Rujas.

Among the favorites for this 38th edition of the Goya Awards, 20,000 species of bees by Estibaliz Urresola, with 15 nominations; and The Snow Society by J.A. Bayona, with 13.

The great festival of Spanish cinema will be hosted by Ana Belén, Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, who make their debut presenting the Goya Awards. The gala will be broadcast live this Saturday, starting at 10:00 p.m., on RTVE’s La 1.
