A guy from Illinois was captured sleeping behind the wheel of his own Tesla while it had been supposedly working on Autopilot, according to officers.
On Sunday, a Kenosha County deputy seen 38-year-old Mitul Patel along with his head and”not looking in the street” while on Interstate 94, as stated by the sheriff department’s Facebook article .
Patel was traveling on Interstate 94 in his 2019 Telsa when officers received reports of a motorist who”seemed to be sleeping behind the wheel” while crossing between Illinois and Wisconsin.
The deputy attempted to issue a traffic stop however, the Patel failed to notice that he was pulled , the department stated.
The deputy jumped to trace behind the Tesla for 2 miles at a rate of 82 mph.
Patel — that did not show”some symptoms of disability” — refused being ill but did acknowledge he was drowsy, according to officials.

Tesla’s site informs customers that its Autopilot and”Complete Self-Driving” attributes aren’t completely autonomous and”demand active motorist oversight.”
