The British singer Jessie J has conquered the British stages in recent months with her powerful roar but also with her extreme outfits. The artist, who announced her pregnancy a year ago after suffering an abortion, has chosen completely transparent looks with rhinestones for her latest acoustic concerts, advocating the trend that has been going strong in the last year regarding maternity fashion without stereotypes or limits.
The trend is not new and Jessie J is not its precursor, other celebrities such as Rihanna, Beyoncé and Emily Ratajkoswki have established this predilection for highlighting pregnancy with daring and sensual outfits in recent months. However, the British artist has carved a niche for herself among these stars by betting on outfits that, far from concealing the pregnancy, highlight it and make the pregnant belly the protagonist.
“She is literally a super woman,” reads one of the thousands of comments that respond to a series of images on Jessie J’s official Instagram account in which she shows her latest looks on stage.
At O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, the singer opted for a spectacular transparent black jumpsuit full of rhinestones and combined with a light layer of organza and in her concert with Chuck Harmony, she opted for a two-piece set made of transparent and iridescent fabric with a violet touch.
Offstage, the artist has also starred on the red carpet in some of the most extreme and empowered looks of the last year. Just two weeks ago, on the occasion of the Brit Awards 2023 gala, the singer appeared in a striking red two-piece, consisting of leggings and a long-sleeved croptop that exposed her pregnant belly, and accompanied it with an imperial feathered cape style coat.
