A total of 151 firefighters and support personnel from California/FEMA US&R Task Force 5, 6, and 8, including teams from the Orange County Fire Authority, Riverside Fire Department, and SDFD, are being deployed to the impacted areas. Additionally, the California Swiftwater Task Force 1 from the Los Angeles Fire Department is also part of the deployment.

As the lead agency for US&R Task Force 8, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department is sending 46 personnel to North Carolina, where they will play a crucial role in the ongoing recovery efforts. The team has been equipped with specialized equipment and vehicles to aid in search and rescue operations and emergency response in the most affected regions.
