We are about to start spring and that means, among many other things, that it is bean season. We propose a simple, quick and easy recipe to prepare, but with a delicious result, because the combination of broad beans with ham is unbeatable. It is preferable that you get fresh beans, but if you can’t find them you can also prepare this recipe with frozen beans.
> 1 kilo of fresh beans.
> 1 onion.
> 200 grams of ham.
> Salt to taste.
> Black pepper to taste.
> Extra virgin olive oil.
> Half a glass of white wine.
1. If you have bought fresh beans, shell the pods carefully and wash them under running water. 2. Peel and chop the onion.
3. Cut the ham and reserve.
4. In a frying pan with a little oil, sauté the onion.
5. When the onion begins to become transparent, add the beans and mix.
6. After 4 minutes, add the ham and keep the heat on medium.
7. Add the wine, salt and pepper, and stir.
8. When the beans are tender and the ham is crispy, you can serve. (Cooking the beans will not take you more than 15 minutes).
