Lulu is finally home. The dog that disappeared two weeks ago in Torrent (Valencia) has been found alive and in good condition, as confirmed by the pet’s owner to the local newspaper Levante-EMV. Apparently, the dog had been stolen by a neighboring family in this town.

The Local Police found the pet after receiving a call from a neighbor, who recognized that Lulú was in his house. Apparently, one of the family members was coercing the rest not to return the dog, although finally one of them backed down and called the agents.

According to this media, the description of the pet matched Lulú, a seven-year-old tricolor shih tzu. Then, they certified her identity by checking the chip.

The owner of the dog has filed a complaint against the people who stole the animal from the Torrent National Police. The family that kidnapped the dog also went to that police station, demanding the reward they had promised through the multiple posters. “The family wants us to pay them something, but we are going to see what we do according to what the Police tell us,” Estefanía explains to Levante-EMV.

In the absence of resolving the economic issue, the owners are happy for Lulú’s return: “We have recovered Lulú after twelve days of being kidnapped. This is the only thing that matters to us right now.”

During this time, the couple has received several scam attempts and acknowledges to this medium that they have lived in distress. “We haven’t been able to sleep, it’s been two weeks of uncertainty in which every time a call came in we felt sick to our stomachs,” she concludes.
