The Snow Society by Juan Antonio Bayona has been the big winner at the 38th edition of the Goya Awards, with a total of twelve awards out of the thirteen it aspired to, including best film and best direction. A historic night for the Catalan: it is the first time that a film of his has won the best film award and he has four as a director.

The award for best director is already at home. And it couldn’t be better guarded. He is closely watched by his furry friends, two winemakers whom he has immortalized along with the award.

“The Goya is in good hands… or legs,” wrote the Catalan on his X account (formerly Twitter). In the image, the filmmaker places his dogs on the sides. They both remain still, at least for the photograph. In the center, the Goya award, the fourth he has won for best director.

The nice snapshot has encouraged other users, who also wanted to involve their furry friends. “Congratulations from Lolaila from Roquetas de Mar! Congratulations to you and the entire team. Well deserved!” responded one. “You are congratulated,” explained another, who posted an image with her two dogs.
