Surely more than one reader has experienced the situation of going to an underwear store, not trying on the bra out of laziness and, when she gets home, realizing that the piece is not her size. Acquiring a bra can be a complicated task when you have doubts about the cup or size.

Choosing the right bra is important, especially for the health of our back, since if it is worn ill-fitting or of a smaller size it can harm the neck. Today there is still a high percentage of women who do not wear their bra size well, therefore, it is necessary to solve this problem by wearing the model that best suits our measurements.

TikTok has once again become the best platform to find out how to get your bra size right in just four steps. Thanks to the @bebloomers account, you can find out the correct cup number and put an end to returns of purchased bras that many thought would fit perfectly when they tried them on at home.

To know the size you need a tape measure. First, the contour is measured, which is calculated by placing the tape just below the chest and measuring the perimeter. 15 is added to this number and the final result is called A.

Immediately afterwards, the contour of the chest is measured to know the cup. On this occasion, the tape should be on the areolas and surround the back. This number is called B. Experts recommend doing these steps without a bra on so that the result is as accurate as possible.

Then B minus A is subtracted and thus the cup is obtained, which can be known thanks to a table that the same account publishes after following the steps. As can be seen, there are five different cups: A (between 12-14cm); B (between 14-16cm); C (between 16-18cm); D (between 18-20cm) and E (between 20-22cm). This would get the correct bra size and cup.

It should be noted that the cups must collect the entire chest well. If it is hollowed out, it means that that cup is not the right one. It should also be taken into account that the underwire should fit well under the chest, without being above, and that the straps should be adjusted to the shoulders, without over-tightening.
