A video posted by the Twitter account for animal lovers, @dodo, has gone viral after showing a most unusual scene, in which wild turkeys continuously sting their owner.
The video posted on Twitter has more than a million views, and it shows the behavior of these birds. In addition to biting all over the body, turkeys chase their owner around the entire perimeter, staying close at all times.
“If I start the motorcycle they hear it and they chase me all over the property. They are always by my side and never get tired.” reveals Glenn, who has taken the opportunity to share his story as the father of two turkeys, which began in January 2020.
“I was mowing the lawn one day when I saw a nest in the ground. The mother had abandoned them so I kept the eggs.” points out Glenn, who claims that these birds have been imprinted on him and his Robin’s wife.
The caretaker also recounts that the turkeys won’t let him work, getting to the point where he has had to start wearing a long skirt to avoid being bitten. However, these particular pets refuse to bite Robin, whom they consider to be her mother.
In addition to the pecking, these turkeys have earned a place in the hearts of their family: “There are times when I think it’s really worth it,” says Glenn, while his wife takes a very tender point of view: “They have a special connection to Glenn, they wouldn’t know what to do without him, just like he wouldn’t know what to do without them.”
