Colleen Distin, from Ventura, California, was in her early 20s and outside seeing a film in the Majestic Ventura Theater when her pocket — comprising family photos along with a $200 check — dropped from a hole inside her handbag, according to the Associated Press.
“I recall calling another day once I realized that it was gone,” Distin informed the Ventura County Star. “They said nobody discovered it, yet to call back, I did.”
But, Distin would not get it back to another 46 decades, following a worker who had been remodeling the historical theater discovered the wallet at a crawl space.
“I’d have never imagined,” Tom Stevens, the worker, told the Star later he discovered Distin’s wallet.
Although the pocket had no cash, it did possess a Grateful Dead concert ticket in 1973, older photographs and Distin’s driver’s permit that died in 1976.
Stevens posted about locating the wallet on social websites in the hopes of monitoring Distin down and returning the wallet .
“Does anybody understand Colleen Distin?” “While performing some maintenance we’ve discovered her pocket. You will find a lot of pictures of individuals, and they’re super cool with that age too. Someone might want them. Therefore, if you’re, or when you understand Colleen, drop us a line and we’ll have it for you!”
Only a couple hours later Stevens posted the query, Distin got a call about it responded stating the wallet had been hers.
Stevens returned to her Friday.
She stated she was”eager” but suddenly she was jolted back in time. Distin stated,”you start seeing things and you return into yesteryear. It is just like a time capsule”
