If you like to reminisce about the old days with your friends, you are in luck with the special festival that will take place on August 17 as part of the Porta Ferrada program. This is the Remember When Festival, which will take place as a prelude to the last weekend of the Sant Feliu de Guíxols summer festival and which will bring together a good handful of representative artists from the eighties and nineties. The event will start at 8:00 p.m. and will last until late at night, dancing to many of the hits that will surely take you back to that time.
Among all of them, OBK stands out, the most successful technopop project on the entire state scene, currently led by Jordi Sánchez alone. Prepare yourselves because in the performance there will be none of those hits to which you surely know the lyrics – and you are dying to sing them at the top of your lungs – such as Love Stories, What is the use of crying or The princess of my dreams.
You can also enjoy the live performance of the composer and singer Kate Ryan –yes, yes, the queen of eurodance–, author of best sellers such as Désenchantée or Ella, elle l’a, and the progressive version of the Desireless classic Voyage voyage. Selena Leo, who was part of the duo Sonia, will also take the stage
And the entire evening will be very well entertained by a team of djs, baptized for the occasion as the Dream Team and made up of Toni Peret, Josep Maria Castells and Quique Tejada, great stars of the turntables at the legendary Paral·lel Studio 54 nightclub, long before the clubbing fever of the nineties and that many of you surely know by the famous Max Mix, which, for those who do not know, were compilations -on vinyl or cassette- of the disco hits of the moment, mixed, yes, with the mastery and unmistakable personality of these pioneers.
It will also include a performance by The ABBA Experience, a tribute band that will cover the best songs of the most universal Swedish group.
