Herbariae is the name of this Vista Alegre collection, tableware designed by Christian Lacroix, a character of great creativity and a born inspiration, as are his creations, which all reflect the Provencal influence of his origins. Born in Arles and with a degree in Art History, we can understand why his works are imbued with the strength of the Mediterranean combined with respect for nature and knowledge of art.
The softness of the Herbariae lines is accentuated by the prints of the chosen flowers, the poppy, the daffodil, the lotus, the dahlia and the thistle, of delicate beauty, the elegant strokes and the soft colors, designed in the style of the herbaria and ancient botany, which decorate each piece of this spectacular tableware. The soft pink, the delicate green and the suggestive blue are the tones that provide such a subtle touch to the elegant tableware, one of the most iconic creations from Christian Lacroix, from my point of view.
Herbariae and the rest of the pieces, including the matt gold mango cutlery, are all by Vista Alegre. I recommend losing an afternoon in the new space that the firm has opened in Barcelona, ??in the central Diagonal.
The decorations as centerpieces are delicate details as a complement because the pieces by Christian Lacroix are the protagonists.
