Dr. Shaadi Manouchehri, known for her advice on dental care through TikTok, has shared a trick to protect your teeth and not damage them when consuming coffee, a drink that can cause tooth discoloration and wear.

In a shared video, the dentist highlights the importance of implementing this advice: “If you drink coffee every day you need to know this saving trick that is very easy to implement.” According to Manouchehri, a harmful practice is to “sip on coffee throughout the day,” as even if sugar or milk is added, coffee can harm teeth in several ways.

The doctor’s key recommendation is to consume coffee “as quickly as possible, obviously with sense”, to avoid a “constant acid attack” if drunk gradually throughout the morning. In fact, Dr. Manouchehri suggests limiting coffee consumption to about 20 to 30 minutes to protect dental health.

He also explains that coffee contains acidic substances that can erode and dissolve the minerals in the teeth, and if sugar is added, this effect is amplified.

On the other hand, Manouchehri advises against brushing your teeth immediately after drinking coffee, as this can rub the acid into your teeth. Instead, he suggests rinsing your mouth with water or using sugar-free mouthwash, and waiting at least 60 minutes before brushing.

This advice seeks to prevent tooth wear and discoloration caused by coffee, offering a practical and easy-to-implement guide for lovers of this popular drink.
