Last April, the life of Zayra Gutiérrez and her partner, Miki Mejías, changed radically when they welcomed their first child together. The daughter of Guti and Arantxa de Benito welcomed little Hugo, who has completely revolutionized her daily life. This Saturday, the couple lived a very special day, as they celebrated the little one’s baptism surrounded by his loved ones. Without a doubt, it has been a most special moment, although it has been marked by absences, such as that of Guti, father of the 23-year-old girl.
Arantxa and Guti debuted on April 16 in the role of grandparents, although at a young age, since they are 53 and 46 years old, respectively. Upon her arrival at the Madrid church where the baptism was being held, the presenter appeared most happy and radiant on this important day for her daughter and her grandson. However, the absence of the former footballer stood out.
Zayra, for any doubts, explained to the media that her father was not able to attend the baptism because he was caught working outside of Madrid. “No, my father will not attend. He is in Girona, because since he is playing Madrid today… he is a commentator for DAZN, and so he is there,” the young woman revealed before the Gtres microphones. Zayra wanted to make it clear that they get along wonderfully and that they saw each other just two days ago, but that work is what has really prevented her from accompanying them on this special day.
The young woman also clarified the reason why Romina Belluscio, her father’s wife, has not been at the celebration either. “She couldn’t come because she stays with the little ones, taking care of them,” Zayra explained. Additionally, she has revealed that she felt “very nervous,” and that “I don’t want to imagine my wedding day.” After this statement, she assured the press that she wants to go down the aisle, but that she also depends on her partner. On the other hand, she revealed that when her little one is older, she would like to have a second child.
The one who did not miss this event was Arantxa de Benito. Hugo’s proud grandmother has arrived just in time but visibly happy. The presenter was delighted that her daughter had chosen her to act as the little one’s godmother (on Miki’s side, her godfather is his father). Arantxa de Benito looked spectacular in a fuchsia pink suit that she combined with a white lingerie top.
For her part, Zayra Gutiérrez has opted for a long boho style dress. In blue and with a multicolor print, he has looked very flattering, since he has combined it with a brown belt. As far as the celebration is concerned, Zayra explained to the media that it would be in a “petit committee.” The young woman explained that she wanted to celebrate this day in an intimate and family way, and that there will be around fifty people who will celebrate the baptism with them.
