Telecinco has decided to adjust its programming due to the parallel success of ‘Big Brother Duo’ and ‘The Island of Temptations’.
Although the network opted for a double installment of ‘The Island of Temptations’ at the beginning of the seventh edition, the competition from ‘GH Duo’ has led to a reorganization of the programming.
Today, Tuesday, ‘Temptation Island’ will not be broadcast, leaving Wednesday’s delivery fixed. This decision is based on audience data, and according to Ion Aramendi, it is due to the fact that the program obtained better results on Wednesday compared to the offer of other channels.
Telecinco’s offer for the third week of the year will consist of two ‘GH Dúo’ galas on Tuesday and Thursday, ‘The Island of Temptations’ on Wednesday, ‘On Friday!’ on Friday, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ on Saturday and the ‘GH Duo’ debate on Sunday.
The change in programming could be motivated by the defeat of ‘Temptation Island’ in Tuesday’s audiences, where it faced strong competition. The program achieved 1,115,000 viewers with a 13.9% screen share, while the Turkish soap opera ‘Brothers’ surpassed in viewers but fell in screen share.
On Wednesday, ‘The Island of Temptations’ improved its data, reaching a 14.1% audience share and 1,127,000 viewers, becoming the most watched program of the night on Telecinco since the end of ‘El Hormiguero’. However, it was not the most watched program of the day on the network, being surpassed by ‘Vamos a ver’.
