Five of the biggest names in hip-hop will take to the stage for the Super Bowl halftime performance.

Who is performing?

Snoop Dogg and Kendrick lamar will be performing their greatest hits in front of a crowd that includes Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige. Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige addressed a press conference ahead of the performance and stated that hip hop has finally taken center stage.

“This is the essence of hip hop. This is the purpose of hip hop and the NFL: it’s supposed to represent about a change, about moving ahead, so we appreciate that the NFL entertains hop hop, because we know there are many people who won’t [have] hip-hop on stage,” Snoop Dogg stated in part.

Dr. Dre also echoed his remarks, saying that he was gonna show how professional he can be, how dope he can be on stage, and how exciting a performer we are to the fans. We will show the fans how professional and dope we are on stage, and how exciting it is to be there.”

He said, “This should’ve happened a long while ago in hip hop [goes]. Hip hop music is the most popular genre on the planet at the moment. It’s amazing that it took so long for us to get recognized. We are going to put on a great show, and they won’t be able to deny us in future.”

The Super Bowl halftime show will be the first to feature hip-hop artists as the main act.

Since F. Gary Gray , director of “Straight Outta Compton”, dropped a teaser trailer starring the artists, buzz has been building about the performance.

What to Watch

Super Bowl will be held at SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, California. This is where the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals will meet. The broadcast will be on Telemundo and NBC, and live streamed on Peacock
