Paris will be the next big stage for Carolina Marín. The Spanish badminton star, absent from Tokyo 2021 due to a serious knee injury, returns with his sights set on Olympic gold. Eight years after her victory in Rio, Marín is determined to make history again in the city of light.
Before facing one of the biggest challenges of her career, where she does not start as a favorite, the Huelva native has gone to La Resistencia to meet David Broncano. And, unintentionally, she has ended up making an ugly image of José Luis Martínez-Almeida, mayor of Madrid.
The athlete, who has confessed that she is going through a serious crisis with her partner although at the moment she is not looking for anything new, has assured that she really likes large displacement motorcycles, although “riding a motorcycle scares me a lot.”
In line with this, Marín has spoken about his attraction to boys who drive motorcycles. “I really like guys on nice motorcycles and such.” Broncano, always willing to delve deeper into the curiosities of his guests, wanted the athlete to give concrete details: “What attracts you to a boy on a motorcycle?”
Marín became visibly nervous during the interview and did not know how to be precise in her words. In an attempt to clarify her point of view, she has reiterated that she has always found “a good bike with a good boy” attractive in all of her.
The tone of the interview changed when Broncano showed him a photo of Martínez-Almeida smiling while riding a motorcycle. With a very spontaneous response, Marín has made his opinion of the Madrid leader clear. “Oh, not that one, how bad!” He said with displeasure.
