Last Tuesday, the Daily Mail published an interview with actress Drea de Matteo that shocked her fans around the globe. The artist, known for having participated in audiovisual projects such as Sons of Anarchy, The Sopranos or Paradise City, opened up on the channel and shared with the audience that she has experienced a critical situation due to a series of debts.
The actress assured the British media that she only had ten dollars in the bank and that she was about to lose her house, so she decided to open a profile on the erotic photo and video platform OnlyFans.
”OnlyFans saved my life, 100 percent. “I can’t believe I’m saying that, but she really saved us,” the woman explained with some modesty and embarrassment, but trying to make the audience understand that it was a critical situation.
The 52-year-old artist confessed that Onlyfans was the last resort she turned to to be able to make money and move forward, since her opinion against the coronavirus vaccine and her refusal to take it closed many doors for her in Hollywood.
”I was put into foreclosure and my house had flooded, so I was trying to sell it quickly,” the woman explained bluntly. In addition, she was also going through a difficult personal moment: ”I lost my mother, and my other mother, who has dementia, had run out of money to care for her.”
The woman explained that she had prejudices about the 18+ content page, but once she tried it, her opinion changed instantly. One point that made her reflect was the large amount of money she managed to raise in a very short time. “I got a lot of heat for doing it and it went fucking viral and people went crazy,” she shared in a cheerful and carefree manner.
”Anyone who wants to condemn and belittle me, let them do so. I just hope that you never find yourself in the position I was in of taking care of two small children,’ the actress stated, making it clear that she is not ashamed of who she is and what she has had to do to move forward. It should be noted that Matteo has two children (from her relationship with musician Shooter Jennings) to support: Alabama Gypsyrose (16 years old) and Waylon (12 years old).
