The new Animal Protection Law has been one of the big headaches for the return of the Grand Prix to RTVE. After years off the television grid, the mythical test and humor program will return to television but without the heifers, one of its most characteristic elements that legislation does not allow today.

The ban on having live animals on the set has led the current managers of the new Grand Prix to think of a new challenge for their contestants. The “Superheifer”, an interesting incorporation that will complicate the life of the participants.

It will basically consist of a wild card that one of the towns can use to hinder the progress of the rival team and thus favor their own interests, all as if it were an animal, as revealed by VerTele.

The promotional image of the “Superheifer” shows an animal in a cartoonish format, with its usual cowbell, a smile and some dangerous horns that will serve as inspiration to make the costume with which it will participate.

Teams will have three different “heifer jokers”: the dairy heifer, who can shoot liquids at her rivals; the blind heifer, which will have the possibility of blindfolding the competitors, and the shooting heifer, which, as its name indicates, will shoot different objects.

The towns will request these functions from the “Superheifer”, which will only act if the towns spend their “heifer wildcards” previously obtained in the initial test. With its leading role and its image, the new Grand Prix wants the “Superheifer” to be its new hallmark.
