The case of Daniel Sancho continues to be one of the great issues of today. Last Saturday the news broke that the Spanish chef had confessed to having killed and dismembered the well-known Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta on the Thai island of Koh Phangan, in the southwest of the country.
After an arduous investigation, in which all the evidence pointed to the fact that he was the perpetrator of the crime, the Thai authorities ordered provisional detention for Rodolfo Sancho’s son. The 29-year-old chef is currently in the Koh Samui prison, where he still has to remain in isolation for several days to comply with the anti-covid protocol in force.
The alleged murderer declared during the interrogation that the crime had been involuntary, but all the evidence that they have managed to gather during the investigation has led the Thai police to request that the Spanish chef be charged with premeditated murder.
Since the news came to light, numerous information and speculations have begun to emerge on social networks and in different media. And it is that as the days and hours go by, we learn new details of the case. Lecturas magazine revealed a few days ago the last message that Daniel Sancho sent to his friends.
“I’m sorry that you are having to be one of those people who suffers from this. One day you will know the whole truth,” he assured. This same Thursday, The Summer Program revealed another message that the chef would have sent to one of his friends after the news broke. ”No man, it’s true. I messed it up, forget about me. I’m fine. I had no other choice,” he said.
This Thursday, the Telecinco program Así es la vida has been able to speak exclusively with the best friend of the deceased surgeon, Vivi. The interviewee said that she contacted the Spanish chef at the request of Edwin Arrieta’s sister, Darling. The young woman revealed that Wednesday, August 2, was the last time she spoke with the surgeon. After not hearing from him, Vivi contacted Sancho
She asked him to help them because they were very upset because they did not know where Edwin Arrieta was. The chef replied that he would go to the police and hospitals to look for him. The friend insisted again and asked her to go to the Koh Phangan police station. Following her request, Sancho appeared at the scene that same morning and reported the disappearance of the surgeon. Vivi didn’t hear from Sancho until the next morning, when she told him that he was at the police station. ”They’ve kept me asking a lot of questions,” she told him. ”I don’t believe you. What a scare. Can’t you imagine where he could be?”, she told him. ”I do not know what to tell you. I just know that I hope it’s okay,” the chef replied.
According to the messages, Rodolfo Sancho’s son was very scared before the police and confessed that he did not know where the surgeon’s belongings were. ”We didn’t stay in the same hotel,” Sancho assured.
