Sergio Rico, PSG goalkeeper, remains in serious condition after suffering a serious accident at the RocÃo pilgrimage in Huelva on May 28. According to the latest medical report from the Virgen del RocÃo Hospital in Seville, Rico has been sedated again after being conscious for a few days.
Alba Silva, Rico’s wife, has been constantly updating on the evolution of her husband’s health. In a recent interview with Europa Press, Silva confirmed that Rico had to be sedated again. However, she assured that “she is stable and we remain positive.”
According to Silva, Rico’s new medical report will be officially announced next Monday, when the Seville hospital issues an official statement to find out the latest on the state of health of the Spanish goalkeeper.
While waiting for the update to arrive, the journalist has uploaded a text to her Instagram profile in which she recalls her first wedding anniversary with Rico. “Just a year ago it was the happiest day of my life, you waited at the altar with misty eyes while you saw me arrive with all the people we love,” she wrote.
Silva has also emphasized her husband’s strength: “You never fail me, you are the bravest and strongest person I know, that’s why I know you will not give up, for us, for our family that we still have to enlarge, for all the happy moments that you owe me, for all the people who love you, for all the anniversaries that we have to celebrate my love”.
Despite the fact that the situation is delicate, his message is full of hope and love: “We have overcome a lot together, and I know that we will be able to handle this, that soon you will be reading these words and holding my hand to give me the peace of mind that only you know give. It’s not the first anniversary I had imagined, but I promise that when you wake up we will celebrate each of the days we spend together.”
Sergio Rico, 29 years old and with an enviable sports career, was hospitalized after suffering a head injury during the popular pilgrimage to the Virgen del RocÃo.
