Daniel Sancho remains in the Koh Samui prison after allegedly killing and dismembering the surgeon Edwin Arrieta in Thailand on August 2. Following this, the Thai police decided to charge Rodolfo Sancho’s son with premeditated murder and, therefore, request a death sentence for him.

“We already have the definitive results of the autopsy. First they fought, according to the evidence at the scene (of the crime). Daniel punched him, then the doctor (Arrieta) fell and hit his head against the sink, but he did not He died at that moment, but when (Sancho) began to cut his throat, according to forensics,” said the number two police officer in the country, Big Joke. Now, more information has come out about his arrest.

At first after the crime, Daniel Sancho wanted to act as if nothing had happened. However, he soon reported the disappearance of the surgeon, and soon after confessed everything. Even so, it seems that the police already suspected his involvement in the case from before.

“In less than 24 hours the Thai police knew that Daniel Sancho was involved”, they have begun to relate in The Summer Program. The day after the murder, the defendant left the hotel where he had allegedly killed Edwin to go to the other resort that the surgeon had booked, to check out. At that time, he did not hesitate to ask the receptionists about the Colombian’s whereabouts.

But if there is something that caught the attention of the workers, it was how one of their hands was. “On Thursday, August 3, he came to ask if he had seen the deceased. His right hand was bandaged and it was bleeding. He said that he had cut himself with a knife opening coconuts,” one of them testified, as revealed by the aforementioned program.

Right after, he decided to move to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. “At that moment, a video is made that is uploaded to social networks,” says the journalist. But at that time the police had already found the remains of Edwin Arrieta in a landfill, and already knew about the existence of Daniel Sancho and his possible involvement through the purchase receipt that they found next to the body.

“The police already have his name and surname. He puts them on the internet, searches social networks and finds the video that he uploaded,” the reporter continued. From then on, the authorities decide to move to the restaurant where they find a key piece.

“They find a black backpack with a knife, gauze and traces of blood,” he added. “At that moment he is already cornered, so when he goes to report it to the police, he never goes out again,” he concluded.
