Alfons Arús, presenter of the Aruser@s program on La Sexta, has received double news regarding his future on the network. As El Nacional has exclusively advanced, the weekend edition of the show will close immediately, airing for the last time next Saturday, March 25.
Aruser@s weekend was released on La Sexta last September 2022, to reward the Barcelona presenter for the success of his daily edition. However, just a few months later it stopped broadcasting on the occasion of the Soccer World Cup, resuming its broadcasts around Christmas.
The decision has been agreed upon by Arús himself and his team with the chain. The communicator had already publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the schedule of the daily edition of Aruser@s, alleging that it was insufficient to carry out his work optimally.
“I’ve been saying it for some time: Atresmedia executives, we have to start half an hour before, because we don’t have time,” he pointed out before the cameras of his own program. A request that has taken effect, since the group has compensated for the cancellation of Aruser@s weekend by bringing forward the start of the daily edition.
In this way, Aruser@s will start at 7 in the morning on La Sexta, instead of starting at 7:30 as before. The time change will take place around Easter, according to information published by El Nacional.
The program team will stop working on Saturday, but will do so for an additional half hour each day during the week. For this reason, it is expected that the number of sections that form it will be extended, as well as the duration of each one. “The vital videos, which was a section that used to last 10 minutes, now lasts 2,” Alfons Arús also complained live just a month ago.
