The Wizards of Waverly Place are back with a sequel that has excited the staunch followers of this Disney humorous series in which Selena Gomez began to shine at a very young age, and where she will return for this new version.

Disney Television has ordered a pilot for the sequel, which is executive produced by original stars Selena Gomez and her small-screen brother David Henrie.

Gomez will guest star in the Disney Channel pilot with her iconic character, Alex Russo, who will have the undoubted support of her brother on the series Justin Russo, played by Henrie.

The story will begin after a mysterious incident at WizTech, where Justin Russo, now an adult, has left his magician powers behind and has opted for a normal human life with his wife and two children.

He’ll be in for a surprise later when a powerful young wizard in need of training shows up at his door…and Justin must return to his past to secure the future of the Wizarding World.

Both Selena Gomez and David Henrie have announced the return of the series on their social networks, which has generated madness among their staunchest fans because of their affection for the work.
