The wait is over for José Luis Martínez Almeida and Teresa Urquijo. This Saturday, April 6, 2024, the couple said ‘yes, I want’. The ceremony took place at 12:00, and was carried out in the Parish of the Sacred Heart and San Francisco de Borja, also called the Jesuits of Serrano church. A large number of recognized faces have traveled to the place. The couple will celebrate the reception in Colmenar Viejo, the bride’s family estate, and there are some details that have already been revealed about the subsequent celebration.
The wedding had more than 500 high-level guests and the banquet cost around 90,000 euros. Among the recognized faces are prominent names from both politics and the Spanish aristocracy.
In the last few hours, several details about the banquet after the wedding have come to light. Telemadrid assures that the couple wanted to surprise their guests with tables themed with emblematic places in the city of Madrid: Neptune, La Puerta de Alcalá and Cibeles, among others. A gesture with which they also pay tribute to the city governed by the same groom.
This week, the Vanitatis portal revealed the menu that the couple had chosen for this big day. It is a menu composed of a cocktail, a starter, a main course and a dessert, as well as a dinner, designed for after so many hours of dancing.
This Saturday the couple puts the finishing touch to a relationship that began less than a year ago. It was in early 2023 when the couple met for the first time. It happened during the FLECHA contemporary art fair, as reported by the Look portal. Then, Teresa approached Almeida. After several meetings at different events, she was encouraged to ask him for a first date, which finally took place on May 12. Then, there was a political campaign, so the mayor wanted to wait until it was over to make the relationship public.
Finally, it was in June 2023 when José Luis Martínez-Almeida officially presented Teresa Urquijo as his partner, and he did so by going accompanied by her to Las Ventas, in the event that puts an end to the San Isidro festivities. From then on, their relationship grew by leaps and bounds, until they became engaged and married, a marriage that finally arrived this Saturday. Without a doubt, it is a day that they will never forget.
