The second edition of Big Brother DUO already has a winner. It took two finals to decide who is the audience’s favorite. Lucía Sánchez has been declared the winner in a very tight last vote, which could perfectly have fallen on Asraf’s side. The final percentages were 53.1 -46.9 after more than three million votes.
After the app collapsed following a large avalanche of votes, the contest management decided that the fairest thing was to cancel the grand final and give a few more days of margin to avoid any type of damage. Thus, both Lucía and Asraf had to wait three more days to find out who of the two had won.
Finally, the audience has decided to reward Lucía’s contest, who has been one of the great protagonists of this edition. “Thank you for understanding me. Sometimes I thought I didn’t deserve it. I dedicate it to my daughter. I promise to improve and be a better person. Sorry if I have done something wrong,” said the winner.
The first to fall from the shortlist was Manuel in what was going to be the true final. The man from Cádiz, one of the contestants who has generated the most content throughout the edition, has been on the verge of fighting in the final duel. “I would have loved to win, but people didn’t want to. I put my heart into it and it is a dream come true,” he said.
The announcement that Manuel had placed third generated great surprise among his teammates, since they considered him the clear winner. “I don’t believe it, we already saw him winning,” said Lucía, who couldn’t help but break down when she realized that she wasn’t going to be able to share the last vote with her ex-partner.
