The last few months in Laura Escanes’ life have been full of ups and downs. Last October, the news came to light that the Catalan influencer had put an end to her relationship with the singer Álvaro de Luna after a year together. Despite this setback, the businesswoman is also in a very good moment on a professional level. Her career as an influencer is going from strength to strength, and she has premiered La Travessa, a TV3 program in which she herself serves as presenter. Catalan is a very present language in her life, so the businesswoman did not hesitate to respond to a follower who threatened to stop following her if she spoke in Catalan again.

The last few months have been full of good news for Laura, as far as the workplace is concerned. The influencer has presented the Chimes on TV3, has continued moving forward with her podcast, Entre el cielo y las niños, and has also presented her own program on Catalan television, La Travessa, which will premiere soon. Without a doubt, she is in a very good moment professionally, and TV3 is being of great help in promoting her career as a communicator. In the past, Escanes revealed that she began studying journalism, but that she ultimately did not finish her degree.

Born in Catalonia, although she currently lives in Madrid, the model speaks to her daughter Roma in Catalan, and does the same with her little dog, called Roc. In a video shared this Sunday, she can be seen interacting with the dog while she asks him for ‘la poteta’ (‘little paw’ in Spanish). Although the video was made with the best of her intentions, one of her followers has threatened to stop following her if she speaks in Catalan again.

“I don’t understand anything,” his follower begins. “If you speak in Catalan, I will stop following you,” she said. The influencer did not like the response and she came forward to defend her language. “Hello Carmen! Because Catalan is another beautiful language and I grew up like that,” she began explaining. “Because I like that my daughter, even though she is in Madrid, understands and enjoys Catalan and opens her mind to learn more languages ??in the future,” she continued explaining, with all the education in the world.

“So that later when you hear someone speak Galician it seems nice and you don’t reject them. And because it is my life and here I show bits of my life and I don’t have to pretend or hide that I speak Catalan,” he stated. “But look, if even a puppy understands me, it is easier than you think to want to understand it, even if they are single words,” she concluded, attaching an emoticon of two hands simulating a heart. With these words, the influencer makes it clear that she will continue speaking her language, regardless of who she is.
