Survivors 2023 has entered its final stretch. The Telecinco program has its last five contestants back in Spain, where they will live isolated in a house until next Thursday the name of the next expelled is revealed. ”Tonight we close the palapa,” Carlos Sobera told them last Thursday.
A piece of news that caused great joy among all the contestants, who already see the long-awaited final very close, in which they will be able to fight to win the program prize. But both the joy and the celebration after almost 4 months of competition are going to have to wait after the terrible news that Ion Aramendi gave this past Sunday.
The presenter began the last program by paying an emotional tribute to a member of the team, who had recently died in Honduras. The technician began working at Cayos Cochinos when he was very young and his loss has shocked the entire Telecinco space team. “Yesterday Linci Fernández, one of our colleagues who is part of the technical team working in Honduras, left us,” Aranmendi confessed.
”Linci was a teammate of ours since 2006, when he was only 22 years old. He always had a smile on his face and kind words towards everyone, even in the most difficult times. He loved music, basketball and also had an art in cutting hair. All these hobbies he shared with the entire team. For this and for much more, he was not just a co-worker, but a great friend, with whom many of us have grown up,” were the words that his co-workers dedicated to him.
The news has impacted all the members of the team who have wanted to have emotional words for Linci Fernández. One of the great faces of the program, although she is no longer working on the format, is Lara Álvarez. The presenter was in charge of the program from Honduras for several seasons and for this reason she shared many moments with the deceased.
After the sad news, the journalist wanted to remember her friend on her social networks by sharing the moment in which Ion Aramendi broke the news. “I have no words, see you always Linci,” wrote Lara Álvarez.
