Juan José Ballesta’s life was shaken a few months ago after being accused of an alleged sexual assault. According to the complaint, the actor and another man had assaulted a young woman and taken money from her to buy substances from her.
Now, the Cuatro program ‘Code 10’ has revealed more details of the actor’s statement before the judge in charge of the case.
From the beginning, Ballesta has flatly denied the accusations. In his statement, the actor referred to the complainant’s mental health, suggesting that he suffered from schizophrenia. The judge was direct when questioning her: “She states that you go out, go to an ATM, take out the amount of 200 euros and, when you are on your way to an apartment, you sit with her on a sidewalk and put your fingers in her the vagina.”
“It is a complete lie, everything is a lie,” Ballesta responded, denying having met the woman. However, he acknowledged knowing the other accused: “Every time I see him I say hello, but I don’t have anything else.”
The actor also said that it was precisely the other person involved who alerted him to the complaint. “He called me and told me that I was going to receive a notification that he had been notified,” Ballesta explained. “I went down and found this matter, I asked everyone close to me and no one around me knew about it.”
Ballesta not only denied the facts, but also denounced the media impact and the impact on his personal and professional life. “I felt terrible because this doesn’t suit me, it seems surreal to me, they wanted to kick me out of work,” he said.
Despite his statements, the case remains under investigation.
