Isabel Pantoja has released a special album to celebrate her 50 years on stage. Fans of the tonadillera had the opportunity to request a copy of it signed directly by her. However, after the arrival of these albums, a question arises: is Pantoja’s signature authentic?

José Manuel Ávila, a devoted follower of Pantoja and editor of Fiesta, received his signed copy with a personalized message. But something didn’t surprise him. When comparing this signature with another obtained in person in 2020, the differences were very evident. “The line poses differences, we see certain different features,” said Ávila.

When in doubt, Fiesta has consulted Macarena Arnás, an expert graphologist, who has examined both autographs to determine if Pantoja could have cheated. According to Arnás, although it is common for firms to evolve, there are consistent traits that tend to be maintained, especially in specific parts of the firm. “The undoubted signature, the one signed by his own hand, has quite a few differences with the signature of the year 2024,” Arnás explained.

The expert has highlighted some peculiarities that suggest that the signatures may not have been executed by the same person. “It is true that we tend to change the signature over time because we evolve, but there are always traits that we repeat, especially at the end of the signature, which is the most unconscious part. There are quite notable differences here,” she acknowledged.

Although Arnás has mentioned that fatigue could influence when signing, he has concluded that there is a “fairly high probability” that it is not “the same hand” that signed both albums.

Therefore, the graphologist’s opinion calls into question the authenticity of the signatures on the recently distributed albums and raises serious questions about the validity of the promises Pantoja made to fans in the previous sale.
