On Wednesday we ended the day with the news of the hospitalization of Pope Francis due to a respiratory infection. However, after his first night in hospital, the Holy Father has “rested well” and is “progressively improving” thanks to the scheduled treatments.
The monitoring of its evolution was one of the topics covered by Más Vale Tarde, from La Sexta, this Thursday. In fact, while the presenters commented on the string of illnesses of the Supreme Pontiff, Iñaki López returned to humor and revealed the connection (not at all healthy) that unites him with the Pope. And it is that both suffer from the same ailments. “We agree,” said the Basque.
Más Vale Tarde reviewed this Thursday the last hour on the state of health of Pope Francis, hospitalized for a respiratory infection after his Wednesday homily where he could already be seen with clear gestures of pain as they helped him get into the papal car. “An image to say the least worrying”, commented Cristina Pardo.
Immediately afterwards, the presenters gave way to the correspondent of the program in Rome, who explained in detail more details about the health of the Supreme Pontiff, who is still unknown if he will be able to preside over the events of Holy Week.
At the end, Iñaki López continued explaining what the Holy Father had done during his hospital admission when he noticed a detail. “I’m looking at the Pope’s list of illnesses and, my God, he and I agree on some of them, that puts me in an already important age range,” he revealed with humor.
In fact, the Basque read the list of ailments of Pope Francis, among which are the removal of the right upper lobe, colon operations, bowel removal, diverticulitis, knee problems or cataracts… But he also clarified: “He has 86 yearsâ€.
