TikTok has been a before and after in the world of social networks, especially due to the speed with which published content can go viral. Many Internet users dare to explain situations that they have experienced in their daily lives, many of them difficult to believe and with a certain touch of humor. This is the case of Gonzalo Sarfatti, a TikToker who has shared a video on his profile singing a song to his father-in-law in which he confesses his love for his daughter, asks for her hand and is honest about what he really thinks of him.
In the video, both protagonists appear sitting on different sofas, while it seems that the man could fall asleep at any moment. That’s when Gonzalo starts playing his guitar. “I made a song for my father-in-law to see how he would react,” says the young man. It is at that moment when he begins to sing. “I don’t know where to start so I’m going to improvise, I hope you don’t get angry because I’m going to confess,” he begins to sing, while his father-in-law is resting.
“I’m going to say what I feel, I hope he doesn’t tell me to go to hell. I have it saved, but it’s time for me to know,” confesses Gonzalo, who immediately asks the man’s blessing to be able to ask his daughter’s hand. “If you tell me yes, I will be able to take care of her forever. Not just one night, but from Friday to Friday. And give her everything I have, even for her I go into debt,” he sings.
As the song goes on, the tiktoker’s father-in-law opens his eyes and gestures with his face. “I don’t know how to explain to her that I’m dying for her daughter. And so you can see that I’m serious, I’m going to tell you, father-in-law: even if you’re a grump, deep down I love you,” says the artist. It is with that ending that the man opens his eyes wide, surprised, and instead of answering what he thinks of this confession, he blurts out: “But what are you saying, piece of turnip?” “I watch it on a loop and I keep pissing myself laughing at what he tells me,” says the young man in the comments of the video.
The publication has accumulated more than 1,900,000 views and more than 144,000 likes. In the comments, many joke about the situation. “I’m about to cry with the song and the father-in-law comes out with it,” says one Internet user. “I didn’t expect that response,” confesses another TikToker. “Don’t doubt it, on the phone he loves you too,” jokes another.
