This weekend, the province of Huelva celebrated one of its most emblematic events: the El Rocío pilgrimage. Numerous personalities such as Eva González, Rocío Osorno and Vicky Martín Berrocal joined the tradition, wearing popular Andalusian costumes to make the journey to the Village. Among them, Alba Díaz Martín, daughter of Vicky and Manuel Díaz ‘El Cordobés’, stood out, who shared his experience through her social networks with almost four hundred thousand followers.
Alba Díaz had anticipated her participation in the pilgrimage for several days, showing her enthusiasm in a countdown on her Instagram profile. However, the experience was not entirely positive. During the journey, the young influencer suffered a health mishap that she shared with her followers, demonstrating once again the transparency with which she operates on the networks.
The young woman reported that, while walking, she began to feel dizzy. “I was going to have something, but suddenly I got dizzy… I’ve been, in the end, all day without stopping and I’m exhausted. I think it can be more emotionally, even,” Alba explained. This dizziness was just the beginning of a series of symptoms that culminated in an alarming episode. “Yesterday I had a vomiting moment on the road. She was drinking a lot of water, she was like dehydrated. I drank like ten liters of water and there was a moment when it was gone,” she continued.
The situation worsened when Alba, dehydrated and exhausted, tried to hold on to a carriage to breathe. “Suddenly my body tells me to hold on to the carriage to breathe. He coughed black. I get hooked, I lose my hand because I didn’t have the strength, I fall flat on my face in the sand. People holding my forehead,” she described. Fortunately, people close to her were able to assist her quickly, avoiding further consequences.
This episode occurred in an emotionally complicated context for the Díaz-Martín family. Vicky Martín Berrocal, Alba’s mother, was also facing a difficult personal moment after the loss of a close friend. The designer shared on social media her sadness at not being able to say goodbye to her longtime confidant in time, adding a touch of pain to the celebration.
Despite the scare, Alba Díaz recovered and managed to finish the pilgrimage with her mother and grandmother. The experience served to remind us of the importance of taking care of physical and emotional health during demanding events like El Rocío. The young influencer has demonstrated, once again, her ability to face and share both the good and bad moments with her followers.
For her part, Vicky Martín Berrocal continues with her successful professional career, standing out in her podcast “A sola con…” and other projects, despite the personal challenges she faces. The Díaz-Martín family moves forward, facing each challenge with strength and transparency.
